Leaving Ukraine

How can I leave Ukraine to Moldova?

Ukraine's airspace is currently closed.
Borders are open

Evacuation by Moldavian authorities is currently not planned.

Which documents do I need?

Make sure you have your most important documents with you, as:


  • identity cards - especially biometric passport if available,

  • birth certificates / adoption documents / recognition of paternity / custody agreements,

  • marriage certificate / divorce decrees,

  • school-leaving certificate / vocational training certificates / university degrees,

  • Covid-19 vaccination record / recovery record,

  • language certificates (especially German and English)

  • proof of pension payments - if available, proof of health insurance, etc.

    • I left Ukraine and I want to enter Moldova, But I don't have my biometric Passport with me

    Ukrainian citizens may enter Moldova without a biometric passport, but you still have to provide your national identity document (ID card) or an ordinary passport.

    Later I want to leave Moldova to the EU - Which Documents do I need?
