Leaving Ukraine

How can I Leave Ukraine?

Ukraine's airspace is currently closed!

Borders are open, with the exception of the Ukrainian border with Belarus.

No evacuation from Ukraine is planned!
Evacuation by German authorities is currently not planned.

German consulate and embassy in Dnipro and Kiev are closed

  • Turn to other consulates in neighboring states.

Please be aware:

  • Requests are not accepted and processed.

  • Small teams from German missions abroad in Warsaw, Krakow, Chisinau, Bratislava, Bucharest and Budapest are on standby in the neighboring Ukrainian states and are offering consular assistance.

Which documents do I need?

Make sure you have your most important documents with you!

  • identity cards -especially biometric passport if available

  • birth certificates / adoption documents / recognition of paternity / custody agreements,

  • marriage certificate / divorce decrees,

  • school-leaving certificate / vocational training certificates / university degrees,

  • Covid-19 vaccination record / recovery record,

  • language certificates (especially German and English)

  • proof of pension payments - if available, proof of health insurance, etc.
